Q: Why isn't the tracking for my package showing any movement?
A: We understand how important it is to stay informed about the status of your package, and we're here to provide you with some insight into the tracking process:
Once a shipping label is printed and attached to your package, a tracking email is generated. This email contains valuable information, including the carrier handling your package, the tracking number, and a link to the carrier's tracking page. However, please note that if you've ordered multiple items, they might clear processing at different times and be shipped separately. This means you might receive separate tracking emails for each package.
The tracking email is sent as soon as the shipping label is generated, and carriers are notified to expect the package. However, there might not be immediate movement on the tracking information. This is because carriers often wait until they have the package physically loaded onto their truck before updating the tracking details.
Once your package is on the carrier's truck, it goes through various stages, such as sorting and distribution. Different carriers have varying scanning procedures. Some scan when the package is loaded onto their truck, while others scan during sorting or distribution. This initial scan triggers the tracking information to start appearing on the carrier's website.
Due to these factors, there can be a range of time before you see movement on your package's tracking. This timeframe can vary from a few minutes to several hours. Occasionally, tracking might not show movement for 24 to 36 hours after the label is created. While this can be unsettling, please know that we appreciate your patience and understanding.
